The Supervisor disagreed and gave me no option other than to buy another license. The seller distributing the key to multiple users was wrong, but Microsoft’s actions are equally as wrong and potentially illegal. The consumer’s confirmation that a license is valid is through Microsoft’s acceptance of the key. Microsoft can’t first say that it’s good, and then years later change their mind and say that it’s bad.

I hope somebody initiates a class-action lawsuit against Microsoft to force them to issue free keys to any user who at one time had a valid key and has since been rejected.
